Is it just me or are/were the MIM Strat necks in the 90`s better quality then now? I just picked up an excellent 1998 MIM Fat Strat and the neck is just as nice as a MIA`s!!!! I mean this neck is probably one of the best necks i`ve ever had! The frets are great(although they could have been worked on) but the Rosewood board seems to be a higher quality then now,more like the MIA Series Rosewoods,and it has a nice vintage golden brown gloss tint(not the pale satin finish of todays!)and the overall size seems bigger then whats on the MIM Standards of today!!(again,more like MIA size!)So is anyone familiar with the MIM`s of the 90`s? Whats the deal? Anyway i got me another real sweet Strat!!!
